In-Service Workshops

Workshops introduce participants to reading and writing memoir. This introduction uses close reading to generate writing. Participants leave the workshop with specific strategies and a collection of personal writing to use with their students. We design workshops to meet the needs of a group, department, school, or district, and they vary according to:
 
The fee for a one day workshop is $1500 which includes the instructors’ fees and materials.  This does not include travel, meals, and lodging.

  • Length
  • Audience (elementary, middle-school, secondary, or college faculty)
  • Content Area (English, social studies, foreign language, drama, special education, ELL/ESL teachers and/or curriculum specialists)
  • Emphasis on reading and/or writing
